How to play Rain (Prší)
Match the suit or the rank, and get rid of your hand first.
Rain is Prší, the Czech card game — played with a full deck and Jokers.
The goal
Be the first to get rid of every card in your hand.
Setting up
- A full deck: 52 cards plus 4 Jokers.
- Each player gets 5 cards. One card goes face up — the pile — and the rest are the draw pile.
- A coin flip decides who starts. If the face-up card is a 7, the King of Spades, a Joker or an Ace, its effect counts against whoever plays first.

Your turn
Do one of two things:
- Play one card that matches the top card's suit or rank — a 9♥ goes on any heart or any 9.
- Draw one card, and your turn ends.
When the draw pile runs out, the pile is shuffled back in (the top card stays).
Special cards
| Card | What it does |
|---|---|
| 7 | The next player draws 2. |
| K♠ | The next player draws 4. |
| Joker | The next player draws 5. A Joker goes on anything, and once it's on top, any card can follow it. |
| Queen | Goes on anything (unless a penalty is waiting). You choose the suit that has to be played next. |
| Ace | The next player answers with an Ace of their own, or is skipped and you play again. |
Can't answer a penalty? You draw all the cards, and your turn is over.
Stacking
With penalty stacking on, a penalty can be passed on instead of taken: a 7 on a 7 (now +4), a K♠ on a K♠, a Joker on any penalty, an Ace on an Ace. With it off, a penalty is simply taken.
Winning
The moment your hand is empty, you've won — a Queen as your last card counts too.
Every special card has alternatives: see Rain house rules. The app also has a playable tutorial: Knowledge → The two modes → Rain.
