How to play the Bus
Empty your deck and your piles before your opponent does.
The goal
Be the first to empty your 10-card deck and all three of your piles.
What you have
- Your deck — 10 cards, face down except the top one. This is what you race to empty.
- Your hand — up to 5 cards from the shared draw pile.
- Your three piles — where you put a card to end your turn.
- The foundations — shared by both players, in the middle.

The foundations
Each foundation starts with an Ace and is built up, one rank at a time, to the King — the suit doesn't matter. Both players build on the same foundations. A finished one (Ace to King) goes back into the draw pile.
Jokers are wild: a Joker plays as whatever card the foundation needs next.
Your turn
- Draw up to 5. Your hand fills back to 5 cards at the start of your turn.
- Play as many cards as you can onto the foundations — from your hand, from the top of your deck, or from the top of your piles. If you play your hand empty, you draw 5 more.
- End your turn by putting one card from your hand on one of your three piles.
Only the top card of a pile can be played, so think about what you bury.
Winning
The moment your deck and all three piles are empty, you've won.
